Hey I was thinking about applying for culinary nutrition program at Johnson and Wales, I’ve graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school and I was wondering what your thoughts were? Does Johnson and Wales have a good nutrition program? How hard is it? Would recommend it? and do people have a hard time getting a job afterwards? I’m thinking about becoming a Registered Dietitian

Hi Lauren, I am currently in the process of applying for the Culinary Nutrition program. Here is the link to the program page: http://www.jwu.edu/content.aspx?id=16302 and the contact for the program is Suzanne Vieira, MS, RD, (401-598-1881). I hope to hear back this semester if I have been admitted into the program and will start in the Winter 2012 trimester. From what I have heard it can be tough to be admitted, a lot of work but well worth it. A presentation was given in one of my other classes regarding the culinary nutrition program and where alumni are today. Suzanne also has an updated list on alumni (sadly I don’t have one).
I also hope to become a RD after completing this program. Please let me know if you come to campus for a visit…I would love to meet up with you. – Jenny
